The &ai foundation
&ai was established during a constituent meeting in January 2026, where its statutes were officially adopted. We anticipate formal recognition by the foundation authority of Rhineland-Palatinate and the granting of charitable status by approximately mid-2026.

Dr.-Ing. Joachim Fox
Chair of the Board
Many years of experience in senior automotive management focusing on product safety, cybersecurity, AI governance, and the development of an agentic AI system for engineering support.
A passionate musician with regular performances in an a cappella ensemble and choir. Also plays clarinet and piano, and does composition and songwriting.
„AI is here to stay – it is an integral part of my daily work. A responsible approach is essential, especially in safety-critical contexts; we must remain vigilant as we learn to navigate within acceptable boundaries.
Using AI as a tool in the musical realm offers diverse opportunities, but also clear risks. For me, the human being must fundamentally remain at the center of art. AI can support, but it must not replace.“

Dr. Martina Flatscher
Member of the Board
Holds a PhD in Innovation and Process Management and serves as a strategist within the ZF Group’s global AI Center of Competence. Her work focuses on AI ethics, responsible technology applications, and the strategic integration of disruptive technologies into organizations.
In parallel, she has been an active musician since childhood and is an experienced cellist with regular solo, orchestral, and chamber music performances, including qualifying for the national ‘Jugend musiziert’ competition in 2007.
„As a cellist, I experience firsthand what true creativity, genuine emotion, and authentic collaboration feel like. At the same time, my work in AI ethics shows me daily how rapidly technology can transform jobs and create uncertainty. That is why I am committed to ensuring that AI in music, art, and culture is implemented responsibly, transparently, and with a human-centered focus. I want to build bridges between artistic expression and technological innovation—ensuring that AI serves art, music, and culture in a way that is responsible, reflective, and beneficial to society.”
